Curve Fitting
The Curve Fitting Utility will allow you to easily perform linear and non-linear regression analysis using an nth order polynomial. This tool is perhaps one of the most useful tools available in Math Mechanixs. Data modeling has wide reaching applications in Manufacturing, Quality Control and Six Sigma, Process Engineering and many other scientific and engineering fields.
You can easily compare the polynomial against the raw data in a graph with a single button click. Comparing the polynomial against the raw data graphically makes it easy to determine the best fitting polynomial. You can then define the polynomial as a function with a single button click and use it in the Math Editor for subsequent analysis.
